WG-Gesucht: Adding a Feature

The bootcamp challenge was to incorporate a new feature into an existing mobile app based on user needs. We were all assigned a unique feature request for different mobile products.

Product

The product given to me was WG-Gesucht’s mobile app. WG-Gesucht is one of Europe’s largest portals for flatshares and apartments.

Goal

Delivery of a high fidelity prototype that reflects the best path forward based on research, iteration and testing.

My Role

Stakeholder interview, research, user flows, wireframing, prototyping, user testing and user interface design.

Teammate

Solo project.

Timeframe

Four days (between web dev lessons and lectures).

The Problem

Through a stakeholder interview and user survey, I identified that the time to process the applications in the app was the biggest pain point users were facing.

Our Process

  • Stakeholder Interview

  • User Survey

  • Analysing the Product

  • Jobs-to-be-done Story

  • Solution Proposal

  • Low-fi Wireframes

  • Usecase & Task Flow

  • Mid-fi Prototype & User Testing

  • Hi-fi Prototype
