Insun: A Cosmetics Concept
Insun is a cosmetics concept that develops effective sun protection products for people most at risk of skin cancer. All products are created from ingredients that care for the earth and are proven to provide optimal protection from UV radiation. So everyone can be safe in the sun.

Project Overview
Australia has the highest skin cancer mortality rate in the world. This is due to the high UV radiation levels, combined with a predominantly fair-skinned population. As a concept, I wanted to create products that help people to protect themself from the dangers of the sun. The products would also be made from environmentally friendly ingredients.
The Process
Progress began by defining the brand’s target market. This was followed by establishing the company’s mission and vision statement. Once they were defined, possible company names were conceptualised and, finally, Insun was selected. Logo ideas were sketched out before experimentation began in Adobe Illustrator.
It was important that the logo and branding would differentiate the company from its competitors. A simple yet versatile logo was chosen as it would remain legible across all branded material. Brand colours, typography, photography and assets were then created. These were selected in order to break away from the ‘earthy’ branding style used by many other natural skincare companies.
The Result
The resulting brand identity reflects the playfulness of warm summer days through its use of a bright colour pallet, hearty font selection and photography that celebrates moments under the sun.
